Hand Painted Nature Backgrounds Pack

This asset pack created for MVNA Jam 2025 contains hand-painted nature scenes for use in visual novel development, game development, art creation or any other purpose you'd like!

There are 6 different backgrounds, all painted to a standard visual novel resolution of 1920x1080px 300 dpi, provided in PNG format. Each background has several variants to showcase different times of day, perfect to give your nature-related projects a painterly feel. Crop them, chop them up, edit them or do whatever you'd like with them. It'd make me happy if you could find a use for them~

The backgrounds provided are as follows: lavender field, mountain pathway, hillside, forest pathway, flower meadow and forest clearing . Please see the preview images to view a sample of the materials in the pack. Some backgrounds contain additional variants not shown in the previews.

The assets in the pack are provided under the Creative Commons Open (CCO 1.0)  licence, meaning that you're free to use them both in noncommercial and commercial projects, and that I do not require a credit for any use. You are free to use these background assets any way you'd like. I'd love to see your uses of these assets (only if you would like to show me, of course!) but please don't feel obliged to.

These assets were hand painted from scratch by me using digital art software.
